Someone climbing on the bouldering wall
03 — Indoor bouldering

Problems, strengthand a cool head.

A small wall can say a lot: feet, hands, tension, calm and precise movement.

What we do

Bouldering works both as cross-training and as an activity in its own right. It builds finger and core strength, coordination, body awareness and the ability to manage fear.

Problems are set at different grades and rotated regularly, so there is always something new to try, fall off, repeat and finally link.

It belongs naturally inside Surf & Grind: another way of moving, solving and sharing beta with the crew.

We are looking for climbing and bouldering people who want to work with us. We are not climbing specialists: if it is your thing and you want to help us out — guided sessions, setting, beginner courses — get in touch.

Who it is for

For people who have never climbed and want to try without signing up to anything, and for people who already climb and want a wall to train on without queueing. It is a four-metre mini bouldering wall: it does not compete with a big climbing gym, it completes a house where people already skate and train.

What you need

We provide

  • A four-metre bouldering wall with matting.
  • Problems at several grades, reset regularly.
  • Chalk and a brush for cleaning holds.

You bring

  • Climbing shoes if you have them. To try it out, trainers will do.
  • Clothes you can move in.
  • Short nails. It sounds like a joke and it is not.

What it costs

The wall comes with the membership, like the rest of the warehouse: free use, no booking and no per-session charge.

Who is there

Nobody: it is free use. The problems are set by members of the house, and we are looking for climbing people to widen what can be done here — if that is your thing, get in touch.
